The concept and layout for the future look and design of emergency departments, employing the most advanced available technologies, was unveiled at the annual meeting of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in Seattle from October 14th - 16th. The new concept, referred to as InnovatED, was developed by thought leaders from ACEP to incorporate novel and emerging technologies to help care for patients, where time-critical decisions are necessary.  Canopy Apps unveiled their Canopy Translator app (iOS) at InnovatED and became the most popular innovation amongst the Medical Directors attending the conference.

"Probably the best technology showcased here. It's something that is necessary and  can use everyday," quoted Henry Ford Health System's medical director.

The app gained so much attention, that about over 25 hospitals wanted to pilot the app in their ER.
