CanopyLearn 1.0 System Ends Its Service After Dec 31, 2020 Replaced by CanopyLearn 2.0 — #1 Medical Spanish eLearning | Canopy Innovations

Dear All CanopyLearn 1.0 Users,

The CanopyLearn 1.0 system that you may have subscribed to for the Medical Spanish or Medical English courses will end its service after December 31, 2020, and will be fully replaced by CanopyLearn 2.0 system that launched on March 16, 2020. Since its debut in 2013, CanopyLearn 1.0 has served more than 100,000 learners and over 150 medical institutions. The sunset of CanopyLearn 1.0 is partially related to the sunset of Adobe Flash on Dec 31, 2020.

CanopyLearn 2.0, launched during the outbreak of the COVID-19, has received an influx of users and numerous positive feedback. It has empowered thousands of frontline heroes to serve the patients who speak limited English in the pandemic. CanopyLearn 2.0 has so many improvements that our team is proud of, including:

  1. Redesigned the whole UI/UX flow to give it a fresher look;

  2. Upgraded the navigation workflow to make your learning journey more efficient;

  3. Adapted the whole system to different mobile devices so that you can learn, watch, and practice from anywhere at any time;

  4. Reduced the system lag and increased the speed in loading the videos to save your time;

  5. Added the “Bookmark” feature so that you can come back and review the saved sections again;

  6. Implemented a whole new customer support ticketing system to serve your requests faster.

In addition to the platform itself, our Content Team has also conducted quality assurance to the course content for both medical Spanish and medical English, fixing the typos and upgraded the quality of the audio clips and the videos as well as the beloved telenovela. We will continue improving the course content in 2021 and the future.

We welcome our valued learners to report feedback on the content and system to us at any time via the new customer support system including support form, chatbox, direct email, or Facebook messenger.

In terms of the migration process and instructions, we have a fully developed plan for different types of users with dedicated teams to work with each type of them. Canopy Team has reached out to individual customers and institutional clients since August 2020 to migrate the existing active learners from the CanopyLearn 1.0 system to the new CanopyLearn 2.0 system (without any additional charges), and ensure every learner and administration dashboard user has a seamless user journey.

  • For individual users who still have active subscriptions left on CanopyLearn 1.0, we have sent direct emails with the full instructions and unique access codes to every active user on CanopyLearn 1.0. If you have not received any emails from Canopy (might be in your Spam Folder), please reach us at info@withcanopy.com ASAP.

  • For institutional users with active subscriptions, we have worked with your institutional admins to migrate over the whole institution and any eligible users. Every institution will have a new license on the CanopyLearn 2.0, and every institutional user will receive a unique access code to access the institutional license. If you haven’t received any migration instruction from your institution, please reach us at info@withcanopy.com ASAP.

  • For individual users with expired subscriptions, we welcome you to visit withcanopy.com to learn more about CanopyLearn 2.0 and reactivate your subscription directly on the new CanopyLearn 2.0 via our self-checkout system.

  • For institutional users with expired subscriptions, you may reach back to your institution to get access to the new license on the CanopyLearn 2.0 system. If you don’t know whom to contact, please reach us at info@withcanopy.com at any time.

Please note that CanopyLearn 2.0 is a completely separate system from CanopyLearn 1.0 with separate databases and separate logins, although CanopyLearn 2.0 hosts the exact same great course content for both medical Spanish and medical English. So, a learner’s learning history or progress will not be synced over to CanopyLearn 2.0. By migrating, what you actually do is to create a new account on the CanopyLearn 2.0 system. Therefore, we highly recommend you to wrap up the existing course level you have been learning on CanopyLearn 1.0 system (especially if you are already close to halfway through), and then start learning a new level on CanopyLearn 2.0 so that you can still get the Certificate of Completion per each level on time.

Your account on CanopyLearn 1.0 may still be accessible after the migration is done and you may still check your previous progress or quiz scores at times on your learner dashboard before your original subscription length expires. But all the exercises, audios, videos, and the telenovela built on Adobe Flash will stop functioning after 12/31/2020.
