Written by Anny Zhang | Jan 25, 2018 5:00:00 AM

Hi, Folks!

This week we will see the difference between PARIENTE (Spanish) and PARENT (English).

PARIENTE = RELATIVE

Example:

Ese hombre es PARIENTE lejano mío.

That man is a distant RELATIVE of mine.

PARENT = PADRE (FATHER) / MADRE (MOTHER)

Example:

Ser PADRE es la cosa más difícil que he hecho.

Being a PARENT is the hardest thing I have ever done.

No quiero que la gente me tache de mala MADRE.

I don't want people to judge me as a bad PARENT.
