As a Silver Sponsor for the 2013 American College of Emergency Physician's National Scientific Assembly (ACEP 2013), Canopy Apps will be unveiling the Canopy Translator, the world's first official complete mobile app for providers to access a library of routine medical phrases that are pre-translated into 150 languages, connected to a one-touch button to call live telephone interpreters for more complex conversations, all from the provider’s smartphone. ACEP 2013, taking place in Seattle, WA from October 14th to the 16th, will be exhibiting the very first innovatED, an interactive, educational experience offering a whole new way to explore innovation in emergency medicine. ACEP13 registrants will have the opportunity to engage with current thinking, cutting-edge products and services, and best practices driving change in the ED. innovatED is designed to look like a real ED!  Canopy Apps has been invited to showcase an interactive experience with the Canopy Translator at innovatED's Innovation Zone.

Besides unveiling CanopyTranslator, Canopy App's CEO, Jerrit Tan, will be giving an "EDTalk" at the conference.

In regards to his talk, Mr. Tan stated, "We really want to help emergency room physicians re-imagine what is possible in terms of language assistance. The way things work now is just not working, so we need to show a complete new way of working with patients who do not speak English. It's an uphill battle to change anything in healthcare, but we think it's a really important battle."
